ECO FRIENDLY CLEANING PRODUCTS
I think from what you have read on my website is that I am very passionate about safe and eco friendly cleaning products. I have been using environmentally friendly cleaning products for the past 10 years.
The reason I use environmentally friendly cleaning products, is because I suffer from Asthma. I discovered, that I breathed so much easier, and I enjoyed better health, when I switched to safer eco cleaning products.

CLEANING PRODUCTS ARE COSTLY AND LOADED WITH CHEMICALS
The cost of house cleaning products is staggering AND there are many unsafe cleaning products, loaded in chemicals, in the supermarket isles to choose from.
Instead of spending a good portion of my earnings on house cleaning products, I simply make my own, out the the ingredients below. You can also save money, and have a Pure Clean and Tidy eco friendly home, by using these ingredients too!

MY RECOMMENDATIONS
- Baking Soda has many uses and is a hardworking, old fashioned and safe cleaning alternative.
- Distilled White Vinegar is inexpensive, biodegradable and like baking soda is versatile with many different uses in the home. It can be used as a nontoxic disinfecting agent. However, vinegar is not a registered disinfectant and does not kill dangerous bacteria like staphylococcus. Hydrogen peroxide, see below, has antimicrobial ingredients and can be an effective household cleaner.
- Hydrogen Peroxide is an antiseptic solution that you may have in your medicine cabinet.
- Cotton Balls
- Liquid Dish Soap
- Salt You can use table salt or coarser sea salt
- Lemon
- Cheap Vodka or Rubbing Alcohol
- Corn Starch
- Tea Tree Oil is an effective anti fungal and disinfectant cleaner with microbial properties.

BASIC CLEANING SUPPLIES
- Nylon Scrub Brush
- Microfiber Cleaning Cloths which can be washed and reused.
- Spray Mop.
- Spray Bottles You can re-use these bottles indefinitely. Do always fill your spray bottles with the same cleaning solution. It is not a very good idea, to mix new cleaning solutions, as the residue that was previously in the bottle, could put you at risk of creating a toxic and unsafe blend.
- Pumice Stone can be used to help break down and remove tough mineral deposits and stubborn stains.
- Bucket
- Towel

MOLD – BLEACH OR VINEGAR?
A safer bleach alternative is distilled white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. These two products will do a very effective job of killing mold spores in porous materials.
Bleach can only kill mold on non-porous surfaces, as it does not penetrate porous surfaces; so mold roots are left to grow again.
ECO FRIENDLY CLEANING PRODUCTS
Cleaning, deodorizing, disinfecting, and removing stains doesn’t have to be an expensive and arduous process. With a few eco friendly household items, you can clean just about anything in your home, and for a fraction of the cost of expensive commercial brand cleaners.
